Our first public lecture was presented on Saturday 10 August 2019 at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.

Sharon Faye introduced the audience to Emotional Strength starting at the beginning and how she developed the concept over her lifetime. Sharon role modeled Emotional Strength at the beginning of the lecture by openly sharing about her early life. Her vulnerability was palpable as she connected with the children in the audience and went on to present a fascinating lecture. The lecture was well structured, and the history of emotion was presented in a timeline which made it easy to comprehend. Among other things, Sharon educated the audience with statistics on the dangers of non-substance addiction (e.g. smartphone, social media) of people of all ages with our children being most at risk with the effect of this type of addiction on a developing brain. Children shared their experience of Emotional Strength in everyday life which was amazing. The audience asked important questions and an interesting discussion followed.

The lecture was a great success and we received heart felt feedback and many requests for more lectures. To view photos from the day, head over to our GALLERY page.
